Charles “Chuck” Gasior is life-long Ohio resident, earning a Political Science Degree from Youngstown State University in 1998 and a Juris Doctorate from the Ohio Northern University Petit College of Law in 2001. Charles is licensed to practice in the State of Ohio, as well as the U.S. Federal District Court, Northern District of Ohio. Over the course of his career, he has a unique distinction of practicing in all 88 Ohio Counties.
Chuck began his legal career in a general practice firm in Columbus, Ohio, representing a wide variety of clients on both the Common Pleas and Municipal Court levels in civil, domestic and criminal matters. He spent roughly 70% of his time in the Courthouse where he developed his base for representing his clients.
Upon moving back home to Northeast Ohio, Charles focused his practice in creditor’s rights, which included the prosecution of foreclosure actions, evictions, replevins and collections. This focus occurred during one of the largest foreclosure periods in U.S. history, and also during a time period of significant changes in both federal and state law in that industry.
Since joining Reitz Paul & Shorr, Chuck has focused his practice into the following areas of law: Domestic Relations, School Law, Collections, Business Law and Criminal defense. He also continues to serve as a Guardian ad Litem for children in the Summit County Domestic Relations Court, as his schedule allows. He believes this multi-disciplinary approach combined with his experience offers a unique insight into practical problem solving as well as formulating case strategy for his clients. Not all cases require litigation, while some certainly do. Chuck believes knowing when and where is valuable-insight for any client.
Chuck is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, and as well as previous memberships in Akron Bar Association and the Kentucky Bar Association. He is a longtime resident of Northeast Ohio, where he resides with his wife and two sons. In his spare time, he is very active in his son’s activities and school, acting as a coach in youth football, baseball and basketball.
